The combination of a beautiful sun-drenched weekend and a stunning Somerset venue is a dynamite one. Ben and Lara chose wisely with Babington House and the wedding turned out to be a corker to match. Travelling up the day before, I got to meet the couple, families and closest friends while they (and I) ate entirely delicious burgers as the sun set in dramatic fashion.
The morning of the wedding saw me scampering back and forth between bride and groom in their various stages of morning preparation. It was while capturing the bride getting ready that I got some of my favourite pics I've taken to date - Lara was so comfortable with a camera around and the light in that room was stunning.
The service happened in the little chapel within the grounds of Babington House and was followed by some lightning quick group shots outside the stone chapel. From there on it was a full fledged celebration which included my first real life experience of a wedding singer. Boy did he get people going. Within minutes of starting, bride, groom and guests alike were singing their hearts out whilst standing on the dinner tables. That is impressive crowd control.
Dancing continued the festivities and even saw an usher bust out some live sax. Rapturous appreciation followed as did some inspirational dancefloor innings by nieces, nephews, grandmas and granddads. All ages were well represented and all ages made for one memorable party. Thank you Ben, Lara and all who made their wedding day a most excellent one. I absolutely loved capturing it and hope you can relive it for years to come. Here be the pics. Enjoy!
